We had the fillip of the Dow maintaining its 100 point gain on Friday, a good performance in the Asia and M&A talk coming through, there's a lot of money floating around and you get the feeling the inexorable rise to 6,000 is upon us.

We're holding on. There's a lot of cash floating around, there are deals happening all the time. It's always tough to pick the top of the market.

It's a painful day for us, but I suppose everybody loves it when the bookie gets stuffed.

A good score should have a point of view all of its own. It should transcend all that has gone before, stand on its own two feet and still serve the movie. A great soundtrack is all about communicating with the audience, but we all try to bring something extra to the movie that is not entirely evident on screen.

On Friday, when I came in, we were doing jokes about being able to get out. Then it just started getting worse and worse and worse.

Between 11 and midnight (Friday night) I'm going to make sure that I'm out on that football field for at least a half hour shaking hands and thanking students. At 6:45 a.m. (today) I'm going to hand out doughnuts to the students. I want everybody to feel a part of this. It's not a PR stunt; it's just who I am. I really appreciate all the support we've gotten this year.
