This is a good move. It puts in place a good first step in creating a process where the community is involved with the decision-making for their campuses.

Two minutes at a board meeting does not substitute for an active participation in this decision.

If reflects a sad trend in American education, where suburban schools have become a place to educate the young, and urban schools a place to warehouse the poor.
