There are more people who would support Measure A today. But this is not a slam dunk. We need to focus on marketing.

If anything, the ad may cause some of our members to rethink their support for the measure.

I feel like I connected with a lot of people today.

The original measure did not go far enough to stop eminent domain abuses, but my version that was approved today in committee is the strongest pro-property-owner legislation to come before the legislature this year.

There are 800 units today serving people who are at or below the poverty line. Implementing the strategy that we have put out is not going to reduce that count below 800. It probably may increase it.

We have drafted this measure and taken this action today because of the problem that illegal immigration presents to the residents of California.
