You are going to have victims who are already scared as it is, who are not going to call the police at all (for fear of being deported). You need a police who protects all victims of crime.

A lot of times, they don't really understand what the difference is. The children who were brought (into the United States) early don't think of themselves as different. Most undocumented children find out when they are sophomores (in high school) and everybody is talking about college and applying for financial aid. That's when they find out they don't have a Social Security number.

We are in desperate need of immigration reform. I hope the House has seen all the rallies and protests around the nation and remembers the issue is very important and people support a fair immigration reform.

We have a lot of people who work very hard and contribute to the tax system for many years but they live in an underground society, always being exploited. Our economy thrives on these workers.

The whole goal is to have people come out of the shadows and become a recognized part of the work force. If they can't stay in the United States, then I don't think they'll come out of the shadows and apply for this program. It would be an exercise in futility.

If you put it into context of the over 20 million acres of Forest Service land, it is not that much. But every acre is precious.
