Yes, it was a pretty big surprise. It sort of caught us off guard. I knew he was planning to apply for the North Cobb job, but it was definitely a surprise. He felt like this was the best thing to do for his family, and I can respect that.

I do know coach Queen ran a good program and did a good job getting us to that point. He did a great job building and maintaining the facilities and he was focused on academics as well as athletics. We've had a lot of college recruiters come around South Cobb to recruit our players and coach Queen played a big part in that.

We should get a flood of applicants. A couple of guys from our current staff will probably apply, too. We're going to open it up and look at every application, so it will be an arduous task.

We felt pretty good when the game was within our reach. It got within our reach, and we just grabbed it.

It cements the really pretty good relationship we have with the planning department, which goes a very long way for us in getting our projects approved in a timely fashion.

We are all about safety and mobility. Our role in the city's comprehensive planning process is pretty passive at the moment. We certain applaud any efforts to improve mobility on state infrastructure.
