While the main focus is on the meal and that is the big draw, I do think that some people come just for the activities that are held. There certainly is plenty to do without a meal ticket.

For many people, this is a homecoming and a gathering of people from their family and community. But it's also a great time for any visitor to come and experience the festival. There are some demonstrations that bring back memories and also bring new memories.

Tampering with a successful tradition can be very risky. We feel the change went well last year so we are adapting and doing it again.
