When a religious culture trains its children to treat the sight of human genitals as a sexual event, it has sown a pornographic view of the body and will reap a sex-addicted society.

Addiction to pornography thrives on 'body shame,' the inevitable product of prudery's ridiculously dysfunctional imaginations about human anatomy; only by rediscovering the 'body acceptance' we were created and born with can we cleanse our minds from the unwholesome, insane, and ungodly view and treatment of the body we grew up with.

When a religious obsession with the sexual aspects of the body thrives in a society dysfunctionally obsessed with sexual self-gratification, porn addiction is inevitable.

By viewing people incarnationally---sacred embodiments of God's image, physical temples for the Holy Spirit, fleshly expressions of the souls Christ died for---our contemplation of the human body, naked or clothed, will become so devotionally pure that any thought of misusing its beauty for selfish gratification would repulse us. This alone is the measure of true freedom from porno-prudery.

We will never save our children from the filthy pig-pen of pornography by feeding them on the ungodly slop of body shame.

What can free our society from a porno-prudish view of the body is what has already liberated most health-care workers: a frank, natural, non-sexual display of the divine glory and creative goodness in the unclad temple of God's image.
