What can free our society from a porno-prudish view of the body is what has already liberated most health-care workers: a frank, natural, non-sexual display of the divine glory and creative goodness in the unclad temple of God's image.

By viewing people incarnationally---sacred embodiments of God's image, physical temples for the Holy Spirit, fleshly expressions of the souls Christ died for---our contemplation of the human body, naked or clothed, will become so devotionally pure that any thought of misusing its beauty for selfish gratification would repulse us. Clothing, by nature practical, can be used unnaturally as a perpetual sexual covering for the body, thereby creating unrealistic ideas and immoral imaginations about nakedness, but God still lets a frank, nonsexual sight of the real thing cleanse the mind and restore sanity.
