We've had long layoffs earlier in the season. It didn't affect us then, and this won't either. I'm ready to play and bring a gold ball to Moss Point.

It was like, 'Did that really just happen. That's supposed to happen to us.

That's something that not only us and the coaching staff, but the fans want to see, too. Back in '95 and '96 when Warrick Dunn and Rock Preston did it, it was real effective.

Breaking the record means I've accomplished something and won't be forgotten at Moss Point. I didn't think about record until mid-season when I had a shot at breaking it.

We knew they were going to sag on me, so coach (Brain) Brooks told our guards to hit some shots.
