We're at one of those inflection points where we have to be disciplined about where we continue to invest. We try to plan for the worst and hope for the best. We absolutely expect to grow and build our business, but at the same time, it's only prudent to wait for some indication that the market dynamic will start to change.

My role will be to focus on getting everything we can from the areas we're investing in, making sure that people have the right jobs, and ensuring we have a clear plan and a well-articulated vision of where we're taking the company -- those are the primary things I bring to the table.

This business has opportunity for scale and growth, which requires more depth and breadth on the management team.

Any time you go from client/server to Java and Web services, you're going to run into some amount of that.

Our customers range from small startups to Fortune 100 enterprises, and span industries such as electronics and high tech, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods. One major theme that has emerged from the majority of our customers is how they can better manage product innovation and development while competing in an increasingly global economy. Agility 2006 will provide our customers and partners with the opportunity to participate in discussions and debates on globalization, compliance and innovation. Industry leaders and business executives will also have the opportunity to share their future business strategies, and learn how PLM will enable them to gain and maintain leadership in their markets.
