This business has opportunity for scale and growth, which requires more depth and breadth on the management team.

I think the state's structure helps women-owned businesses connect the dots to business opportunity, to growth, to doing business globally, to mentoring -- all of which helps them be more competitive.

We're at one of those inflection points where we have to be disciplined about where we continue to invest. We try to plan for the worst and hope for the best. We absolutely expect to grow and build our business, but at the same time, it's only prudent to wait for some indication that the market dynamic will start to change.

My role will be to focus on getting everything we can from the areas we're investing in, making sure that people have the right jobs, and ensuring we have a clear plan and a well-articulated vision of where we're taking the company -- those are the primary things I bring to the table.

Any time you go from client/server to Java and Web services, you're going to run into some amount of that.
