We got a couple big hits to score multiple runs. Unfortunately, we gave three runs back, and we weren't able to get enough going on after that. Their pitching was solid. I thought our guys fought hard and played a good game.

I would have taken some of those 15 runs or 23 hits in Game 1 or 2, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

Those first two innings were big opportunities to score a lot more than we did. Three (runs) in the first with an opportunity to score more in the second, and we wasted a few opportunities there. It wasn't like we were giving away at-bats or anything like that. It just didn't happen for us.

Us? We don't know how to do that. Are you kidding me? There's no way. We did score three runs today, so that's a good thing. It's a big step in the right direction.

A couple of hits cost three or four runs and that hurts. It was my first outing in 10 days facing hitters and maybe that cost a little bit. It's not going to be normal after not pitching in 10 days and there were a lot of things going in on my head.

Paul pitched his best game of the year. He only gave up three runs. Unfortunately, we only got one.
