This is a technology called convection-enhanced delivery. And what it does is it pushes the chemotherapy to the areas where the tumor cells are hiding deep within the brain.

We've tried a lot of things. Surgery's gotten better and we deliver the radiation in a more sophisticated way. We've gotten better at handling the side effects of chemotherapy, and still the impact on the disease has been relatively small.

That's really what's interesting about Apple, is they look at our technology in a very Apple way.

The technology is not a stopper [with young women] as with older women.

Right now it is the Wild West in health technology. You can do whatever you want to do and sort of shoot 'em out in all of the little towns.

We have taken the first step but there is at least a decade to go before this technology finds its way onto a spacecraft.
