This has been the best recruitment year since 2001. The companies at our job fairs have real jobs to fill, and they're making hires.

There are certain jobs that go on all year round. We'll have about 100 volunteers active a couple of months ahead of the fair, and then double that number during the fair; and we can always use more.

To feel valued, to know, even if only once in a while, that you can do a job well is an absolutely marvelous feeling

This is what I see as one of those dream jobs, ... It's a right-sized town and a phenomenal medical center. Mayo is a physician-led organization so we are working to develop physician leadership. I love this stuff; this is fun.

I'll do odd jobs, anything to keep us afloat. I'm not working because of Sam's condition. My goal is to get the kids back on track and me back to work.
