I don't think that the resources of the western European countries are going to implode because of this. But you see disaster striking, economically and otherwise, when you get into countries such as in Africa and other developing nations in which they don't have the resources to handle this.

Vaccines, if they can blunt that initial, enormous burst of virus production early on, even if it doesn't prevent initial infection, may dramatically alter the course of infection,

There are some states that are having now that kind of activity that we didn't see in October, November, December, which tells us what we already know -- that the season is not over. Certainly, the early part of the season was relatively light, much to our great advantage in light of the [vaccine] shortage.
