This has very greatly strengthened the justifiable belief of the Indian middle class that an overwhelming majority of the politicians and a fairly large majority of the bureaucrats, technocrats and anyone else in authority is corrupt.

Look at the fellows with 30 cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion, rape against them. They are elected again and again even when they are contesting from jail.
