The police response is to look into it as to whether it's a joke or it's serious. The threat is something to seriously look at.

We had sufficient evidence for probable cause to obtain search warrants in this case. And we are continuing to investigate it as a sexual assault.

We have to err on the side of caution. It's different from someone calling in a threat when somebody pulls into the parking lot and says there's a bomb in the car.

We had to interview the victim and there were other things we had to do to develop probable cause. We got the search warrant when we had probable cause.

We don't know who she is and would like to talk to her.

We are very pleased that there have been no murders this year so far, but it is hard to say why this has happened. Murders are hard to predict and hard to prevent.
