The overriding idea of the program is to speak French and build the students' self-confidence and self-assurance in themselves.

All my French students are fantastic. We're a tight group.

The one thing we always see our students walk away with is confidence and a sense of self. We want our students to not be afraid to be themselves, but at the same time, to respect others and respect life.

It was immersion in the sense that when we got out of the van (at the state park) no English was supposed to be spoken.

And even if their language skills didn't improve, which they all did, they became more confident in their ability to speak the language.

I think it will be wonderful for the students who don't have self-confidence, who need to be backed by teachers and principals.
