The first thing they learn is discipline. You do what you're told, and you behave and listen to instructions.

Discipline is remembering what you want.

Coach (Mike) Noll brought a lot of discipline with him from McHenry (his former coaching position) and has turned things around quicker than many people expected. They have some nice runners and good receivers. It should be a battle.

A lot of the kids come in with a lot of aggression. We usually try to calm them down and get them to think boxing.

There's some kids that are real hyper. No matter what you tell them, when that bell rings, they're going to let it fly.

Most kids come in right off the bat, they want to put on a pair of gloves and beat on somebody. That's not the way it works.
