Coach (Mike) Noll brought a lot of discipline with him from McHenry (his former coaching position) and has turned things around quicker than many people expected. They have some nice runners and good receivers. It should be a battle.

We let two explosion (big pass) plays happen early, and they scored 10 points against our first defense, but other than that, I was happy with our defense and offensive execution. West has an excellent running team, and we did pretty well against it until the second half. They just keep coming at you.

It got to 35-0 with 8:45 left in the half. The first team had actually ran only 13 plays. Kovacs went in and scored on an 11-yard run to make it 42-0 with five minutes to go (before halftime).

We didn't prepare enough this week and could've done better in practice. Offensively, we need to throw the ball and I don't really know what else to say. We've got to work on the (offensive line) a little bit.

There were a couple big plays and that's it.
