The conservation community and the federal government have been working hard to add lands to the national forest in Berkeley County. There is no scenario that makes sense to sell that land.

They will not be able to build the road easily. This community will not stand for it coming through this church, and we will not stand for it.

We will do everything in our power to block this bridge from being built.

The zoo is highly regarded, obviously by its visitors and supporters, but also within the North American zoo community. As one of only 210 accredited members of AZA, the zoo stands among the best.

It's a nice community event.

The community here has been immensely supportive. We have had dozens of bone marrow drives in the area, and so many people have reached out. It is what gets us through.
