Summer is when audiences expect us to deliver excitement. Some movies just didn't fulfill that promise.

The only way to remedy the problem of declining audiences is to look at plays that generate excitement. We feel like we have a strong lineup. It's very current.

Our audiences want to be entertained. They want us to do all different types of music in all different styles while affirming gay people in our society. So when we pick material like this, it's not only an affirmation of Broadway, but an affirmation of gay people.

We were very fortunate that all the movies responded very, very well. Audiences like them and went to see them more than once.

We have been in movie theaters ... since 1999 showing movies to paying audiences. I think that's a fairly good track record of technology.

I think it has created an excitement for opera that will produce growing audiences. Nationally, it is important that operas have robust partners across the country to join in productions. That will mean Denver audiences will see some leading productions that have been produced in other places.
