Pitching and defense is the biggest part of the game. We've got at least two pitchers coming back. We're looking for good things.

We got some timely hitting. The kids played well; we did get some offense and strong pitching.

It's going to be a challenge to replace the offense. Getting into the playoffs for the first time in school history was a great achievement. Last year showed us our system and philosophy really are working.

We played some of the best defense we've played all year in the second half. (North Medford) really struggled to get into any kind of offensive flow the entire second half, and we were able to take advantage of their mistakes.

In the second half we really opened it up. We found the weak spot in their defense and really took advantage of it.

We didn't lose the quarterback, therefore we didn't lose the season. We lost a defense end. We were lucky (the fire) was in an isolated barn away from the nucleus. It will slow us to a certain degree.
