People in this state often elect Republicans to keep an eye on the Democrats. Democrats are entrenched, and voters want balance.

Right now, Democrats can do well by letting Republicans drown in their policy problems. However, by this fall, when voters tune into the campaign, the Democratic Party needs to show citizens . . . a positive vision for the future.

On Undecided Voter​s: "To put them in perspective, I think​ of being​ on an airplane.​ The flight attendant comes​ down the aisle​ with her food cart and, eventually,​ parks​ it beside my seat.​ “Can I inter​est you in the chick​en?​” she asks.​ “Or would​ you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broke​n glass​ in it?” To be undecided in this elect​ion is to pause​ for a moment and then ask how the chick​en is cooked.

He's popular, but he's a Republican representing a Blue State. People are going to have to decide if they want a Republican who often votes with the Democrats, or a real Democrat.

People are aware of the difficulty he has encountered within the state, and that has tarnished his national reputation.

Voters see great promise in breakthrough research into cures of major diseases, ... If he vetoes, he is running the risk of alienating a big portion of the electorate. It makes him look out of touch.
