Originally I wanted to be a painter and did work with oils, but I come from a family of doctors, including my dad and three sisters.

I would love to have more shows. Psychiatry remains my passion, but if I can manage to maintain that and creating art, I will.

I want to go for walks, but the doctors say, 'No, you can't go for walks.' I ask my family, let's just go for a walk. They say 'No, you can't.' I want to go. Five minutes, let's just go five minutes. But it just won't do. I want to get the hell out of my house.

It's really kind of tragic that the work of the state tuberculosis commission and the doctors and then, hiring Cass Gilbert – this major name – all this energy ... and then. It's tragic. It's kind of tragic.

We expect our doctors to work very hard taking care of patients, but they don't have to spend all their time and energy battling insurance companies.

One misconception is that we work for insurance companies or the Division of Worker's Compensation. We're doctors who take care of patients the same as anyone.
