On Love"

For even as love crowns you, so shall he crucify you.

Even as he is for your growth, so is he for your pruning.

Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,

So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth

The deeper sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.

നിങ്ങളുടെ പല്ലുകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങള്‍ ഒരു ആപ്പിള്‍ ചതയ്ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ അതിനോട് പറയുക :
'നിന്റെ വിത്തുകള്‍ എന്റെ ശരീരത്തില്‍ വളരും '
'നിന്റെ നാളെയുടെ മൊട്ടുകള്‍ എന്റെ ശരീരത്തില്‍ പുഷ്പിക്കും'
'നിന്റെ സൌരഭ്യം എന്റെ ശ്വാസമായിരിക്കും '
'നമ്മള്‍ ഒരുമിച്ചു എല്ലാ ഋതുക്കളിലും ആഹ്ലാദിക്കും

When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him,Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him,Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

What shall i say of these save that they too stand in the sunlight, but with their backs to the sun?
They see only their shadows, and their shadows are their laws.

He who wears his morality but as his best garment were better naked.
The wind and the sun will tear no holes in his skin.
