Making sure our senatorial slate was able to run has been our priority all along. I'm glad we could reach a resolution to actually achieve this goal.

It's going to be a full slate at the Olympics. The 1,000 hasn't been my priority this year but it's an event I've used a lot to help me in the longer distances. I've had good 1,000 races all year and I love the event because it's nice and short. You can just hammer the whole thing.

There's such friendship with us, ... We get along famously. It doesn't seem real. I'm sure there's been a point in my life that I've been happier, but it probably involved drugs or women ... I feel like a stupid kid who's just had his first orgasm. I love playing with my band guys.

We have to be able to run the ball on a consistent basis. We open up at Wilkes and you never know what the weather is going to be like this time of year. You can?t count on throwing the ball 40 or 50 times a game. Plus, in this league, you have to be able to manage the football and manage the clock. The way some of these teams are, the best way to beat them is to keep their offense off the field.

We can't let them play their up-tempo style. We won't be able to run with them. They are playing well, despite having lost three, 1,000 (career) point scorers from last season. They haven't really missed a beat. We need to slow this game down.

I'm glad that I was able to give them something, ... They gave my family so much.
