We need a system of childcare centres that really works and that is affordable. Women on the minimum wage cannot afford childcare centres. Besides, we need more flexibility at the workplace. There needs to be a change in mentality, also with respect to responsibility sharing in the family. We would like to reignite the flame of feminism in society.”

The greatest value which guides us is tolerance. Don’t let divorce separate our country. We are not going to take it against no one. One unity we were, we are and such we will remain.

I will respect what people will vote. People who fought for what they thought was right even though the majority was against them inspire me. In the past, the “minority” fought for women to gain their voting rights, for 18-year-olds to be able to vote, for those who wanted Malta to be independent, ruled by its own government, those who were against homosexuality listed as a crime. Even if alone, I will keep on fighting for the civil rights which our country needs to work on.

A PL government would be built on the values of meritocracy, honesty, and what is in the country’s interests
