It's pretty rough to deal with. But I've still got to be a leader, a motivator. I'm still coming to practice every day. We've still got to win games, and I want to help any way I can. I just can't do it in the physical way.

Those guys are capable, but they're both learning, and it's their first year, and it's going to take time.

The good thing about our schedule, you don't want to say the 'classics' don't matter, but we can still have a successful season if we do well in the OVC.

I said during the summer that our target is the playoffs — and that would depend on how we start off if we are going to see this thing through. I'm very pleased with the start because I have never been in this position before. I'm not surprised, but just satisfied that we've come together as a team.

The guys have been receptive to (Jennings) in doing what we ask. We have primarily three seniors and a host of juniors on defense, but they've come together well, too.
