It was real good competition and we are real psyched about it.

He'll go for anything, if it will make him better.

Chad's an amazingly hard worker. He's also a really good runner. He has incredible endurance.

He doesn't have those bad days. When he gets in the water, his whole attitude changes. He's really a morning person. Every set, everything, he'll go every yard as hard as he can.

On the actual competition days, you get about three or four hours of physical exertion - between an hour-long warm-up, recovery in-between runs, the training runs, and then the runs themselves.

There are horses people use for competition, and if they don't perform well or go lame, then people ask the vet to put them down to get the insurance money. And my vet knows I love horses, so he gives them to me.
