It was a tight game like I expected. Stowe came out hard and I think we match up pretty evenly in terms of ability. We were just fortunate to dodge a few bullets there.

Each one is special. Every kid holds a special place with me. I think we find a different way every year to do it. This year we had to battle through a slew of penalties.

I made six pretty easy birdies in the pro-am so I had to stick in there after the start and hope there were some more birdies around the corner. Apart from missing a couple of short putts, it was a pretty good round.

[Rensselaer] is a much bigger team than we are, but I think they're pretty slow. We want to run the ball. If we can do that, the passing will take care of itself.

I'd been putting pretty lousy coming into this and I knew I had to putt well. I just tried to do my part to be a senior leader, not getting mad at little shots and finally maturing enough to hit the good shots I need to hit.

We really played as a team defensively tonight. We've got each other's backs back there. We knew they were pretty good up front, but everybody worked well together and got the job done.
