I'd say shareholders go backward. Management goes backward. Labor goes backward. What a settlement!

This is not a see-saw. This is major shift in labor-management relations.

We encourage the union to express their concerns at monthly labor-management meetings. They can always go the warden on a daily basis.

This is not a paradigm shift. This doesn't say anything about the swing in power between management and labor. This is a circumstance that pertains to the nature of negotiations between Northwest and one of its unions. It doesn't indicate a pattern or precedent that is likely to continue with other unions.

We will absorb workers' voices to narrow the distance between labor and management.

It's a Goldilocks economy - not too hot, not too cold.
