I went into journalism to learn the craft of writing and to get close to the world I wanted to write about - police and criminals, the criminal justice system.

There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice.

At least the attorneys got the name of their system right when they called it the Criminal Justice System, because it damn sure isn’t the Victim Justice System.
