Society is now less convinced of the absolute accuracy of the criminal justice system.

There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice.

At least the attorneys got the name of their system right when they called it the Criminal Justice System, because it damn sure isn’t the Victim Justice System.

The purpose of the criminal justice system is both to rehabilitate and to punish. If we can rehabilitate somebody, that's a huge, huge win.

America's criminal justice system isn't known for rehabilitation. I'm not sure that, as a society, we are even interested in that concept anymore.

I am convinced that, because the criminal justice system is run by humans, it is naturally subject to human error. There is no rational basis to believe that this same type of human error will not infect capital murder trials.
