I think it was just the fact that people were drinking 1-ounce martinis and having no way to track how much they had to drink. 'Cause it was, you know, they're martinis. They taste great, and you don't pay attention.

You could see the crowd. It started out really nice. Everybody was having fun, and then, somewhere along the line it turned into the most drunk people I have ever seen in my life.

Oh, it's at the Art Museum. It's martinis. That sounds like a really nice sophisticated event. We should be a part of it, and we had no idea.

Drinking makes such fools of people, and people are such fools to begin with that it's compounding a felony.

We frequently hear of people dying from too much drinking . . . that this happens is a matter of record. But the blame almost always is placed on whiskey. Why this should be I never could understand. You can die from drinking too much of anything. . . .

I would not encourage anybody to start drinking if they do not already do so. People should also realize that they cannot 'save up' for one binge-drinking session.
