I probably left the pitcher in a little too long, and they were able to get on him. This was our third game in three days, and I really didn't know who to pitch when he got in trouble.

He's the best fielding pitcher we have. You don't see that too often. He probably tried to make a little too much happen there.

I might have been able to make it as a pitcher except for one thing: I had a rather awkward motion and every time I brought my left arm forward I hit myself in the ear.

I've known Ian for a while. It's not about beating the best pitcher. He's still my buddy. I'll probably hang out with him tonight. It's just another game to me.

I think it left an impression, because in (my) four years, he had never done something like that. It probably was never a realistic goal. So, for him to bring that stuff out in front of us all, it kind of made us look at it and be like, 'Wow, we can really do this stuff. This is reality if we buy in here, do all the little things, do all the hard things throughout the season, this is a real thing we can possibly accomplish. It was a real eye-opener.

We're awful glad to have Bryan. We needed another left-handed pitcher, and he's been a little inconsistent, but he's had some good outings ... We're just trying to get him more consistent. But he's a great kid, and a good student.
