It's going to be a fly-by-the-seat of our pants kind of week.

We have a lot of professional commercial pilots who come here to fly 'seat of the pants' and 'stick and rudder' planes. They like to get back to basics after all the hours in the big planes.

I'm sometimes described as a flamboyant leader and a hip-shooter, a fly-by-the-seat-of-the-pants operator. But if that were true, I could never have been successful in this business.

Basically, I grew up watching Carter girls on stage, watching my grandmother, my mom and my aunts perform. They used to say, 'Okay, Carter girls, you're on!'

I don't know if it's really fearlessness, ... but he's got a real good seat-of-the-pants feel. A lot of people, if they're going too fast, really freeze up or quit thinking.
