I don't talk about the differences, because what I'm trying to create is a shared vision. I try to instigate conversation about what the company's values look like as images.

I've learned over the years that you have to meet people where they're at. If they're not willing to try something a little absurd, then we find that out soon enough.

There was a musical vision that wasn't locked into one place. It's a musician's band. We weren't necessarily trying to be a household name so much than make a name within the musical community and shape those things that influenced us.

We really need to know what their vision is. The building needs to fit what a school district is trying to do. We want to understand every program and how it might change. The building needs to accommodate what they're doing today and when change comes in the future.
