He made a complete piece based on what an architecturally correct window would look like. He trimmed it out, like a window would be, and sold it.

We came home and said, all right, now we need to figure out how to produce all this.

That was our first, really, true, wholesale many-piece order.

What I think makes the exhibit work so well is that Michael did extensive research on the subject before selecting its images. He then took about a month to put them together.

Every time we come back for another opening, there's another light, another wall painted and 25 more people. This really is an arts cultural center.
