Ed-Venture helps support environmental projects and education in the valley. And the events are a lot of fun.

To get more support, we have projects that hit close to home, so residents can get excited about it. The scope of the project is to increase the capacity and safety (of the road).

Those numbers are outrageous, ... We need to let the Department of Education know that we need funds to support preventive programs. It's always the same schools that apply and receive funding. Well, that's going to end. Local schools will receive federal money to be spent on these needed programs.

They come by and they have fun. We're going to be hosting some parties here and we'll be having events go on throughout the Olympics. We knew it was going to be popular, we didn't think we'd be averaging 1,000 people a day.

New projects will generally have more support (for tolls). There's such a shortage of regular tax funds.

Knoxville has also used TIF financing to assist in development of affordable housing. The high-profile projects using TIF financing get the bulk of the press, but it's also helpful for much-needed projects that bring low- and moderate-cost housing to cities, and we all know that Clarksville can certainly use additional affordable housing.
