The lights go out
Darkness takes over my mind
I can see only the unreal…
The sound of the piano
Whispers in my ears
Provoking the sea of tears
Breaking down the strings
Attaching me to my fears

The violin wakens the dreams
Creating the will
Detaching from the ground
Lifting me up
To be one with the dark clouds
To feel the storm whelming up inside

The strings of the guitar cinches
The cords binding me to you
Luring me to the ends of the galaxies
Gluing me to an inaccessible time
Where time stands still
And pain continuously spills

But your voice slithers in between
Rising with each beat
Stretching out its wings
Sheltering me from the wind
Fighting my wars

The pulsation of the drums

I'm surrounded by men substituting presence for paper and power
Females whose foundation is filtering their flaws for fame
Children teared up by more issues than tissues to on tear up
Leaders promising yester year promises whilst subjects smoke lies like crack
Husbands not ashamed to break their own rib giving dogs a good run for that bone
Fiends disguised as friends with loyalty as strong as spaghetti
Families turned into factories, do as you're told, cave into the mold, become like the rest pf the fold
Society nonchalant, busy growing a beard, blind to it's beastly reality

My life has become like a bus, and I'm just watching it pass by

Delight in your weaknesses because they make you stronger
Delight in your imperfections because they make you perfect
Rejoice in your sorrow because it adds to your joy
Relish at your pain because it makes your relief worth while
Be glad when you are sad because it accentuates your happiness
Be happy when they put you down because it makes you fight that much harder

Accept when you are corrected because it adds to your wisdom
Laugh at your tears
Confront your nightmares
Forgive your enemies
Love them all
