David (Duchovny) and I and (creator/producer) Chris Carter have been excited about and determined to do the next 'X Files' movie. I think it would be a huge amount of fun to get together in kind of a reunion situation and just make a really good, really scary film.

We'll take a long, hard look at everything. I'm excited about David being back and getting him healthy. We'll have a healthy James Thrash and we'll have Taylor [Jacobs]. Then we'll move forward and see what the best decision is that we can make in each one of those areas.

The question I always ask is: 'Where are all the women directors in America?' You know, where's the female Martin Scorsese, the female David Lynch?

I guess we're just in an indefinite holding pattern, ... It's about Chris Carter and Fox coming to terms. Gillian and I are signed on. We're ready to go. Chris and Fox are slugging it out.
