And it goes down through the dam and the water spins the turbine that helps create the power.

If these [dry] conditions continue we could be looking at Lake Travis going down another 20 feet or so by the spring. That would be a substantial change in the geography of this lake and people just need to be prepared that that could happen.

A drop of 17 feet can mean a drastic change in how the lake looks out here. There's a lot of exposed shoreline.

This is not a livable place. We do not have water yet. We do not have power yet. All we have is a mess.

If they can live without power, if they can live without heat, they sure as heck can live without water. At least then I wouldn't have racked up a $600 bill that we had to pay.

We are going to lose all of our natural gas lines, all of our water lines, many of our power lines, most of our transportation systems. We are going to have a disruption to our infrastructure in a way that is going to take months to recover from.
