I have an independent streak. You know, it's kind of hard to tell a independent woman what to do.

Most of us have trouble juggling. The woman who says she doesn't is someone whom I admire but have never met.

Isn't that wonderful? When we drove through several of the places we lived - Grand Rapids, Washington - they all had those placards. That they stood by the street and had in their hands placards that said 'Gerald Our Ford'. That meant so much to us as we were driving into Washington.

It's very little trouble for me to accomodate [my fans], unless I'm actually taking a pee at the time.

A woman doing comedy doesn't offend me, but sets me back a bit, ... I, as a viewer, have trouble with it. I think of her as a producing machine that brings babies in the world.
