I had a sneaky suspicion that we were going to play better the second half, ... I saw that even prior to the break, we were starting to play better baseball.

They don't realize how tired you get during a baseball season ... mentally tired, ... You need time to unwind.

The guy (pitcher Jarrod Washburn ) fell ... it's a base hit. They scored it right the first time. We just happened to score two runs and (the Angels) probably complained after the game in their home park, but what's fair is fair. And the truth of the matter is the guy came off the mound hard to field a bunt, his spikes got caught a little bit on the grass and he slid, and C.C. had the play beat once that happened.

He's a doubles machine. He's as natural a hitter as you'll see.
