Your kids will tell things to strangers that they will never tell to you.

She even has her phone number on the first page. Those sites are places where kids will talk about themselves and say enough about themselves to make it easy for me to find out where they are.

They need to know that other people want to know what's going on with them, what's important to them, that they're significant.

Offline, we tell our kids not to take candy from strangers and not to get into cars with strangers, ... But in chat rooms, they take the (virtual) candy and jump in the (virtual) car all the time.

We are thankful to have each other. Our kids are doing fine. We have been relying on strangers and one family member in Orlando. That's been a lesson.

I will give our kids credit for cutting the gap to eight. It was a great run, but unfortunately we didn't guard Mr. Davis. Sometime when you climb the mountain you lose your legs, and I think that's what happened to us.
