You know, you lose you're out. So it's time to no matter what, no excuses, to put the ball in the hole. I kind of got that mentality and if I was open, I was going to put it in.

You have to control the floor, you have to be vocal and tell people what to do and where to go. It's a completely different mind-set out there.

The general public may not realize these gifted service member-musicians work full time at this. All of them have at least a bachelor's degree -- most in music education and performance -- and more than a third have master's degrees. Their standards are high, and their performances stirring.
