You don't meet many 5-year-olds who are not interested in a hedgehog or a stickleback.

Adults are interested if you don't play down to the little 2 or 3 year olds or talk down. I don't believe in talking down to children. I don't believe in talking down to any certain segment. I like to kind of just talk in a general way to the audience. Children are always reaching.

There are not too many 22 year olds out there that have ever thrown that many innings in a year. At this point, we're looking out for his health, so we're throwing him every nine days instead of every four. We're skipping him every time for that reason.

Wins and losses are not that important. For 14- to 15-year-olds, it's not if you win or lose, it's what you learn. Screaming at little kids doesn't make sense to me.

The increases we're seeing are not just with 4-year-olds. We're seeing increases throughout the system.

I have 14-year-olds that are stronger than some adults.
