It is not what you leave to your children that matters, but what you leave in them.

Have you ever thought that the battle you are in was never a lesson, but a test? Will you choose your comfort, ego and feelings or will you choose to prove your love of Christ by humbling your heart and seeing that the solution was always the one thing hardest for you to do --giving instead of receiving?

There are only two ways to live your life. One as if all that matters is to have someone love and accept you. The other is as though loving and accepting another person is all that matters. Often, when you choose the second you get the first.

When in doubt as to what you should do, err on the side of 'giving.

Awards and recognition are not the purpose of life and not the goal of an activist. The heart of an activist usually redonates the money, or uses the accolades as a foot in the door for more activism and awareness. A plack on the wall won’t change the world; it only shows your devotion.
