You could see it in his demeanor that he wasn't used to this, ... He wasn't the same coach. A couple of times I had to ask him if he was having fun. He said, 'Mike, losing is never fun.'

I've been seeing a different side basically all year long. His demeanor is totally different from being an assistant coach and the Maurice Cheeks that I got to know throughout the years of him being here. I expect it because he has a different role now.

I just read a couple of [Raptors coach] Sam Mitchell quotes that sounded like he was going to be there.

They probably had a couple of things up their sleeves. Coach saw the sombreros. They had to keep it to a certain point. I'm happy they didn't (say nasty things). It would have just brought negative attention to us.

He really has a great demeanor about him. I can't tell you what's going on inside but to all the players and coaches he sure is a cool customer. Sometimes in life if that's how you appear, even if you're not, it makes everybody else comfortable.

I was pleased with his demeanor.
